Built in the late 1700s, in the town square, this building was significantly altered in the mid-19th century before getting a Grade II listing in 1974. Several rooms and areas, with wooden décor and carpeted throughout. Old photos of the area and info on local historic figures and places adorn the walls. Collection of mirrors. Small outdoor patio and smoking area with tables facing the market square. Three TVs but no pool table or music. Three national real ales available, with two occasional guests. Food served daily including Steak Club on Tuesday and Curry Club on Thursday.
