This is a modern public bar above the Briarbank brewery. The entrance is to the rear, accessed from the yard. The bar comprises a nicely furnished single room with a mixture of raised seating, comfortable bench seating and chairs around several wooden tables. The counter incorporates some barrels into its design and offers a range of up to three cask ales (usually including Briarbank Briar Bitter) and some keg beers. Briarbank beers were until recently brewed on-site but as at April 2026 are contract brewed elsewhere. Live music (usually Jazz) was a regular event on on the third Sunday of each month until recently. A second bar was previously occasionally used in a small marquee in the adjoining yard during fine weather and/or events, but has been removed. Card only payments i.e. no cash is taken at the bar.
