Known locally as the Wigwam, the Red Lion is a country pub with low ceilings in the large single bar area with seating for diners and a large garden. Food here has long been deliberately aimed at vegetarians and vegans, with a wide range of meat-free options. New management in early 2017 plan to continue in the same vein. The building dates from early or mid 17th century.

It did not reopen after lockdown. Plans to redevelop site into residential use have been rejected twice but building has since been listed as part Grade 2
