After eight years closed, the Rose reopened in April 2019. The old interior was completely ripped-out and the pub was refurbished inside and out. There were four lines for Real Ales and there were plans for guest ales in polypins. There was a separate restaurant area (the landlady already had a successful catering business in Bramford) and a nice outside drinking area. The pub closed mid-2026 and is reported to be undergoing conversion to a restaurant.
