Reopened on 14 December 2025 after a full refurbishment in the name of Mad Squirrel, the Hertfordshire-based brewery who originally set up in Hertford but now brew at Potten End near Hemel Hempstead. There are pizzas and expect live music at weekends. Expect at least two Mad Squirrel cask ales and a large variety of the company's craft keg beers. Situated just yards from the town bus station.
