Moor Mill BeefeaterSmug Oak Lane
See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
A Beefeater in an old watermill on the River Ver with close links to the Premier Inn next door. The working watermill, which is encased for viewing within the building, last worked as a mill in 1916 and though there are historical links for the mill back to 1086 it was rebuilt in 1762 and not converted to a pub until 1992. Set up for typical Beefeater fayre, all Premier Inn meals are also taken in the mill restaurant. Outside there are pleasant gardens alongside the river and pond populated by geese and ducks, making the pub popular with young families.
