A major renovation some years back transformed what had been, internally at least, a rather characterless place into something altogether more attractive. A pitched roof replaced the flat one in the bar area removing the old claustrophobic feel; the roof space is draped with large tapestries covered in Latin script. A small conservatory extension leads onto a patio area and the impressive garden. The pub is heavily food lead, with a good reputation, but also has a large bar area. 10 room detached hotel annex.
