Friendly community pub. The pub has escaped the fashion for 'opening out' and still keeps its two bar status (complete with the obligatory wooden beams and wood paneling) and a separate games room. As well as the rear garden there is a seating area at the front. The Greene King IPA is by popular demand. The other hand-pump chages. The Oak isn't currently offering food on a regular basis. Food vans will visit some evenings. Occasional pie evenings and fish & chips nights. Formerly the Cock Inn, it became the Oak in April 2019. Schoolboys no longer snigger. Cambridge & District CAMRA LocAle (Rural) Pub of the Year 2020.
