Traditional, friendly, family-run village pub in the heart of Castle Camps. The pub has escaped the fashion for 'opening out' and still keeps its two bar status (complete with the obligatory wooden beams and wood paneling) and an adjoining games room. There is a seating area at the front, and to the rear a covered patio and, beyond the car park, an enclosed beer garden. Greene King IPA and Abbot are regulars ales. The other hand-pump changes. Lunchtime food is jacket potatoes and filled ciabatta. Evenings is hearty pub grub. Community events include quiz nights, bingo, games nights and live music. The pub came under new ownership in March 2026.
