Much improved large village pub. The main bar has been opened out but you can discern the old layout of two rooms and a wide corridor. One area has a low beamed ceiling, a tiled floor, an old curved settle and open fire. The ceiling in the other is also beamed but higher and the floor is bare-boarded. There are two separate, smart dining rooms which can be used for functions, one has a big brick fireplace. Three B&B guest rooms. There's a sizable patio garden close to the pub. The grassed garden beyond this is huge and goes all the way down to the river - you can play both petanque and croquet out here. There's also a smaller beer garden near the original front door. Home cooked food using locally sourced produce where possible served every session except Sunday evening.
