The original part of this village inn dates from the 16th century. The door to the former public bar has been removed leaving a single room pub with two distinct areas divided by the fireplace plus a further seating area in the extension which also hosts live music. Following a short closure for refurbishment the pub reopened in June 2023 as part of Greene King's Hive Pubs group. There is a large garden with outdoor seating much of it covered.. Children are accommodated up to 9pm. Guest beers are from the SIBA list. Food is served from the standard Greene King Menu.
