Regular beers: Woodforde's Wherry

See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

Purchased from Greene King by a local resident in January 2012 and extensively renovated before reopening as a free house. Two bar village pub and restaurant with oak beams. The spacious bar to the left has pale paintwork and a wooden floor. There are toys and games for the younger ones. The restaurant to the right has a tiled floor and large fireplace. There is a large garden and ample parking. Wherry is their regular while their guest ales are often from regional micros. The licensees met in Oregan. Gwen has brewing experience and hopes to put it to good use. The pub closed at the start of 2024 and will be put up for sale, free of tie.
