Formerly the Navigator, it was purchased in summer 2024 by a local computer games businessman and reopened as the Side Quest at the end of January 2025. The pub has been extended into its former kitchen with a new kitchen having been built as an extension. Food is mainly meat-based, but with vegetarian options. Their house beer, The Side Quest, is Buntingford brewery's Single Hop variety. Greene King IPA or Adnam's Southwold Bitter is on the other handpump.
