Owned by the Nedging Hall Estate (owners of Mauldons Brewery) The Crown is a wonderful historic country inn located in the centre of the village which has undergone a no-expenses-spared restoration in recent times. Well worth a visit for its architectural features alone including a fine heavily timbered restaurant separate bar area. Also offers luxury accommodation (12 rooms), disabled access and toilet. The Crown was built in 1495 as a merchant's house and has been an inn since the mid 17th century. The ales served are all from Mauldons. The Crown opens at 7am Monday to Saturday and Sunday at 8am for breakfasts. Secluded courtyard.
