Traditional village pub dating in parts back to the 17th century and with outdoor architecture from three distinct phases of English history, refurbished in January 2023.

The pub is part surrounded by mature trees and serves a bistro-style pub food menu, including burgers, steaks and small tapas-style dishes. The Bistro style is also reflected in its new indoor décor. Coffee and cakes in the former snug bar are a morning feature.

The gardens have been remodelled to create a haven for wildlife with the creation of a wild plant environment and bug hotels to name just two features. The garden has ample space for humans to be seated on its 24 plus bench tables, including under a covered outdoor area. Dog and cyclist friendly.
