Traditional friendly free house in the heart of the village, opposite the parish church and village green, that has been run by the same family since 1991. There is a big main bar featuring five handpumps, and several large dining areas.

The interior features include beams and a large working fireplace, in a building that has housed an inn since the 17th century. There is a huge and pretty patio with a covered smoking shelter, garden and barbecue area.

Quality food, often made with locally sourced produce, is available lunchtimes and evenings. Monthly quiz nights and other special events are regularly held - see the website for details.
