See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

Friendly and welcoming community pub offering good beer and old fashioned hospitality. It dates back to 1838 when two cottages were converted into a pub which was originally called the Lord Nelson. The current name - changed in 1994 - refers to a naval hero with local connections who was awarded the Victoria Cross. The number of real ales available has increased from four to six and the internal layout of the pub is being gradually altered with upgraded furnishings, etc.. Guest ales and ciders available can be found on the pub's listing at 'realalefinder.com'. Good bus & rail links.
