A lovely grade II listed village pub dating from 1830s full of character having many small rooms. The front parlour has a wood fire, there is a snug room and also a games room with Northamptonshire Skittles, cribbage and darts. Further seating is available outside the entrance to the cellar from which all drinks are served as there is no bar so beers are poured straight from the casks. As well as beers from the breweries listed there are often others from, for example, Adnams and Theakstons. Just past the cellar entrance is the restaurant where fresh local produce is used extensively. Camping is available with access to toilets and cold water and there are three apartments in adjacent cottages. CAMRA members booking rooms will be entitled to free lunch or dinner.
