This former coaching inn sits at a crossroads on the A140 half-way betwixt Ipswich and Norwich. Dating from the 1700s. Has been sympathetically extended to incorporate exposed timbers and chimney to create several seating areas. Has motel-style accomodation and recently enlarged outside eating areas. Local legend tells of a tunnel running from here to The Four Horseshoes inn at Thornham Magna nearby. Same owners and hosts since 2000. Breakfast served 7.30-12 Mon-Fri, 8-12 Saturday and Sunday full menu 12-9.30pm daily.
