Attractive 16th century Grade II listed pub featuring exposed beams, deep sofas, newspapers and a log fire blazing in the inglenook fireplace. There are two bars, one with a pool table and darts. Boules is played in the garden in summer. A small restaurant serves locally sourced freshly cooked food. (No food Sunday evening or Monday). Mixed cuisine. Booking advisable. Regular live music on Thursday evenings and music and other entertainments regularly throughout the year, including a beer festival.
