17th century beamed Greene King pub in the centre of Diss. Large single bar with seating areas and doors at the far end which lead to a decked area overlooking the ancient 6 acre Diss Mere (lake). Cosy and comfortable after an extensive but sensitive refurbishment in 2015. A well kept range of GK seasonal and guest beers is available. All ales are now dispensed from an air-conditioned cask room just a few feet away and opposite the bar. May close earlier at weekends
