An attractive thatched free house set overlooking the village green. Formerly owned by Lord Brownlow, the inn is said to date from the late 1400s. Known for seasonal, locally sourced food, the pub also welcomesdrinkers and usually has 3 ales available. The two bar areas are very dog friendly and their is a doggy menu. The Reading room restaurant is also available for private parties. Occasional music nights, quizzes and music special nights.
