See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

The Rose Inn is to be found in the village of Great Wakering, just ten minutes out of town in an area of green fields and countryside. Built at the turn of the 1800's it has a cosy English country feel this fine olde English pub has retained its wooden beams, low ceilings and traditional ambiance. Outside there is large family garden with play area for the children where you can relax over a drink and have some adult conversation whilst the little ones run off some energy. This destination food house mainly attracts people coming especially to dine. The mixture of traditional English and modern cuisine along with a Specials board gives a good variety of options. There is an extensive range of wines to choose from to accompany your meal or an excellent selection of 3 real ales if preferred. Quiz nights on Tuesday at 9pm
