See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
This splendid Georgian coaching inn is locally owned and was re-opened in 2004 in a style best described as “post art-deco transatlantic liner”. The main bar area consists of tables whilst the lounge has armchairs and low tables. Outside is a terrace, which catches the sun and is busy in the summer evenings. Beer is from one of the small regional or micro-brewers. Food is available from the restaurant menu and is of a high standard, showing individuality and flair.
