An ACV was successfully applied for by CAMRA and now this pub has reopened and is serving real ale. Two guest beers are usually served here. Unusually this pub opens for breakfast at weekends and is a now also a hotel. The local pub in Takeley Street was missed by the village and hopefully this will now remain a successful business. No food is served every day between 11am and noon.
