A Grade II-listed, cosy three-room cottage-style pub, including a separate restaurant and a public bar with dartboard. There is a superb range of beers, all served direct from the cask, from a chilled cellar and an extensive range of ciders. Oversized glasses are used. Children and dogs welcome. Enclosed front garden. Good locally-sourced food is served lunchtimes until 2pm (4pm Sun) and from 6pm-9pm on Tue, Wed, Fri and Sat evenings. There is an annual beer festival in June, with up to sixty beers served over two weeks.
